Idaho Opal ring, size 8

Hand made with an opal stone from Spencer Opal Mine in Spencer, Idaho. Beautiful fire colors reflecting in the opal with some host rock on the outside.  Hand picked and cabbed before setting into sterling silver in my mobile metalsmith studio- a hand-built skoolie that allows me to live and work close to the landscapes where many of these stones are found.

Set in solid sterling silver and finished by hand, this piece was created to honor the natural character of the stone rather than compete with it.
