Idaho White Opal, size 7.5

Hand made with a white opal stone from Spencer Opal Mine in Spencer, Idaho. Beautiful white center with host rock around the outside.   Of note, there is no "fire" or reflective rainbow colors in this opal, it is simply white.  

Hand cut and set in sterling silver in my mobile metalsmith studio- a hand-built skoolie that allows me to live and work close to the landscapes where many of these stones are found.

Set in solid sterling silver and finished by hand, this piece was created to honor the natural character of the stone rather than compete with it.
