Collection: The Yellowstone River Collection

The stones in this collection were gathered over multiple seasons along, and in the Yellowstone river in Montana - each shaped by current, distance, and time long before reaching my hands.

Many of these agates formed millions of years ago with ancient volcanic landscapes.  Over time, natural mineral deposits created the intricate banding, dendritic patterns, and landscape-like scenes that make Montana agates sought after.

I return to the river as often as possible, drawn by stillness and a sense of connection to a time long ago. Some stones reveal their beauty immediately, while others only emerge after cutting - quiet images appearing that often feel like tiny captured worlds.

Each piece is hand-cut and set in sterling silver in my mobile metalsmith studio, allowing me to live and work close to the landscapes where these stories begin.

No two stones will ever form the same way again.

Because these stones are found rather than mined, each piece in this collection is inherently limited.
